Another beautiful wedding and an amzing couple!  The wedding was magical and the bride and groom were so much fun to work with.  Amber and Brad had a distinct vision from the start, a romantic beach wedding.  And they wanted their guest to have a great time!  We so honored that chose us to be part of their amazing day!

The ceremony and reception took place at Newport Dunes in beautiful Newport, California.
The day started out with a few clouds, but by afternoon the sun was out and it was gorgeous!  The weather for perfect for the outdoor ceremony and reception.

The stunning bride got ready with help from her bridesmaids and looked absolutely breathtaking!  She carried a bouque of her favorite flowers, orchids.  The brides bouque really stunned with hand applied swaraki crystal that glimered in the light.

The outdoor ceremony was held on a grass bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean.  The brides walked down an aisle of rose petals to greet her groom.  A good friend of the bride and groom officiated the ceremony and there was not a dry eye in the crowd!

After the ceremony the bridal party had a lot of fun taking pictures!  There were so many great place capture the fun of the day and the bridesmaids and groomsmen had a blast!

Guest enjoyed a delicious cocktail hour while the bridal party took photos.  There were even signature cocktails, the Ambertini and the Mr. & Mrs. Mojito!  And Occasion Creations also created the custom stationery for the event.  The reception took place outdoors where the guest could enjoy views of the ocean.

As the night wore on all the guest had a wonderful time dancing, toasting and taking fun picutres in the photo booth that included props!

Amber and Brad you were so much fun to work with and we wish you a lifetime of happiness!!

Wedding Present Etiquette for Short Marriages

On the heels of the split of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humpheries, etiquette of what to do with the thousands and thousands of dollars worth of wedding loot they received on their wedding day comes into question. The official ruling by wedding etiquette experts including, Lizzie Post,  the presents must be returned to all guests with a small hand written note, preferably a heartfelt one.  The responsibility does not only fall on the bride but on the groom as well. She should return the gifts from her guests and he should do the same for his side as well. If the bride is too distraught to take on the task herself then she should enlist the help of her bridesmaids and family. Each note should be on a personal level, after all these people took the time to look up the registry and either pick up or order the gift, the least the couple can do is write  a little something to them. In the case of monogramed gifts those should not be returned but a note should still be written. In the case of the most expensive gift of all, the 20 karat (reportedly worth over 2 million) engagement ring, the experts also agree it is Kim's to do with what she wants. Personally if it were me I would try to do the right thing and sell the rock and split the proceeds with the groom or sell it and donate the money to charity. Who knows what Kim will do with the ring, after all her poor husband had to find out about the divorce from the same place most of America did, from the media. It is a very sad situation, one I don't think either really planned for but unfortunately happened.  Who knows in 20 years they may both look back on this and think how lucky they were to end it before they had kids or before it got ugly. Hopefully they will be able to remain friends and there won't be any mud slinging or name calling.
Best to both Kim and Kris in their lives and future love.
Till next blog,
T.

Catharine & Jinsoo's Wedding

We are sooo excited to finally be featuring this wedding!  It has probably been one of our favorites this year!  Not only was the wedding gorgeous, but Catharine and Jinsoo were such an amazing couple to work with.  As soon as we met with them we knew we shared their vision for a beautiful and unique wedding.  We feel so fortunate to have been a part of their amazing day.  All of the images are from their wonderful photographer, This Modern Romance.

The ceremony took place at the Kimberly Crest house in Redlands on June 18th.  The weather could not have been any more perfect!  Such a gorgeous day and a beautiful event.

Kimberly Crest is a great place to get married.  There are so many beautiful places to take pictures.  Catharine and Jinsoo's love for each really shine through in these!

The DRESS.  Vera Wang and WOW! The detailed lace and stunning sash were amazing.  It just fit her style perfectly.  And she completed the look with Manolo Blahnik.  As you can see Jinsoo was brought to tears when he saw her!

Some beautiful pre-wedding photos.  They had such a fun bridal party!  Everyone was smiling and laughing the whole time.

Every last detail featured elegance and style.  Even the bridesmaids shoes!

Catharine and Jinsoo chose beautiful colors that really popped.  The flowers really complimented the stunning dresses and Bob at The Fleur de Lis Florist created beautiful arrangements!

The archway the couple took their vows in front of was truely stunning and framed the breathtaking view!

The ceremony was so heartfelt and meaningful.  Catharine and Jinsoo have wonderful families who took part in the ceremony.  Many of us were brought to tears!

After a very beautiful ceremony we all headed over to the Mitten Building for the reception.  Catharine and Jinsoo took advantage of each floor in the Mitten Building.  Downstairs guests enjoyed the open bar.

The guests enjoyed appetizers and drinks before a delicious dinner catered by Farm Artisan Foods on the main floor.

There was a yummy candy bar that was complete with personalized toothbrushes from the bride and groom (they are both dentists)!  And a fun photo booth for the guests to enjoy throughout the night.

The Fleur de Lis Florist once again outdid themselves and designed absolutley stunning centerpieces and reception decor!

After dinner the newlyweds showcased a traditional Korean ceremony.  The Korean gowns were exquisitely detailed and the ceremony extra special!

After that it was on to toasts and more fun!  Catharine and Jinsoo's wonderful friends and family gave toasts full of love and loads of fun. They even included games for the couple, to which the guests were laughing histerically!

A GREAT time was had by all!!

Last, but not least, the happy couple ended the night with sparklers.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Kim!  May your new life be filled with love and joy!!

Thank you for allowing us the pleasure of being part of your special day,
Stacey & Tiffany
